Judith and Jim attending a garden party at the Mantons.
Each year they invite the Rotarians who were President in the year Peter was District Governor.
Peter is involved in a trust that commissions works of art in Lincoln. They are currently commissioning a statue of the nineteenth-century mathematician George Boole, who created Boolean Logic. Boolean logic is a form of algebra in which all values are reduced to either TRUE or FALSE. Boolean logic is especially important for computer science because it fits nicely with the binary numbering system, in which each bit has a value of either 1 or 0. The statue is costing £300,000!
Peter has become a sculpture. He uses waste pieces of metal to create works of art. At the garden party he unveiled a sculpture on his garage gate. It is a head beneath which is a paddle. The paddle reacts to the wind and makes the jaw go up and down and the eyes pop out!!! It was unveiled by a local artist.
